We start with a local departure and make our way westwards. We cross the River Severn estuary and continue to the vibrant city of Swansea with its award winning marina and maritime quarter.
Accommodation has been reserved for 3 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at the Mercure Swansea Hotel. Facilities include a bar and restaurant and guests can also enjoy use of the hotel’s leisure facilities which include indoor swimming pool and fitness centre. Rooms have private facilities, TV and tea / coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift however ground floor rooms are usually available on request.
On day 2 we take you for a tour around the Gower Peninsular. We visit the quaint village of Mumbles. Spectacular views include the famous Worm’s Head and 3 Cliffs Bay – voted by television viewers as the ‘2nd best view in Britain’. Mumbles is a Victorian seaside resort full of character and deserving of its name ‘Gateway to the Gower’. Tonight we have a New Year Gala Dinner followed by a night of music and dancing. Count down to midnight: see in the New Year with a glass of champagne.
Day 3 – today we have a leisurely breakfast. This afternoon we have a short local excursion taking in some of the striking scenery of the Brecon Beacons. Tonight we have a 3 course candle lit dinner followed by music in the evening.
On day 4 we return back to England and travel through the Cotswolds on our way home.
