A couple of miles from bustling Calella, Pineda is a sleepy little coastal resort, ideal for a peaceful relaxing holiday. It is a small town with a pleasant central old quarter and square. The narrow streets make for interesting exploring and you will discover some good quality boutiques and local shops catering for both fashion and art. Pineda has a range of good restaurants serving fish and Spanish specialities.
The beach at Pineda consists of coarse sand and is great for families although it does shelve steeply into the sea.
Nightlife is limited but for a more up-temp sort of time on those nights when you feel energetic, Calella is only a short taxi ride away. All the resorts are within easy reach and optional excursions are available to nearby Barcelona, the beautiful monastery of Montserrat and the duty free Republic of Andorra.
Technically Pineda is in the Costa de Barcelona but it shares many of the characteristics of the Costa Brava.
