We start with a local departure for our journey to an overnight stopover on a bed and continental breakfast basis. On day 2 we continue to Austria where we have 6 nights dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation reserved at the 4* Hotel Kirchberger Hof. This family run hotel is set in the heart of Kirchberg. There is a bar, sun terrace and lounge. All rooms are well appointed and there is a wellness centre with sauna, steam bath and indoor swimming pool.

During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- Ziller Valley Railway and Mayrhofen. Today we go on a wonderful panoramic trip through the Ziller Valley as we ride on the Zillertal narrow railway from Fugen to Mayrhofen where there will be time to explore this village.
- Pinzgau Train and Kitzbuhel. Today we include a visit to the pretty walled town of Kitzbuhel. Continue to Mittersill where we board the Pinzgau train for a nostalgic train journey through the mountains to Krimml. Finish the day with a visit to the lakeside resort of Zell am See
- St Wolfgang and the Schafberg Railway. We take you to picture postcard St Wolfgang where we board the cog railway and ascent to the top of the Schafberg Mountain Railway. This was featured in the Michael Portillo Railway series
- Lake Achensee. We enjoy a ride along the Alpenstrasse to Lake Achensee – the largest lake in the Austrian Tyrol. Today you can take an optional cruise on the lake, (Price: £14). We have included a ride on the rack and pinion railway from Jenbach to Seespitz which offers amazing views of the area.
On day 8 we commence our journey home calling at our final overnight stopover on a bed and Continental breakfast basis.
