Day 1 – Depart from your local area and travel to Dover for the Channel crossing to the continent. Continue to France / Germany for our overnight stopover hotel. Accommodation has been reserved on a bed and continental breakfast basis in rooms all with private facilities.
Day 2 – After breakfast we continue to Switzerland. Here accommodation has been reserved at the 3* Hotel Bellevue. This cosy hotel has beautiful views of the Urner Lake, (part of Lake Lucerne), and the surrounding mountains. All rooms have private facilities. The hotel consists of 2 connecting hotels and is stylishly decorated. It is set in the village of Seelisberg which lies in a quiet and sunny area above Lake Lucerne. The restaurant has a panoramic view and there is a bar and small fitness area with sauna.

During your stay we have included these great excursions:
- Visit to Lauterbrunnen for an exciting ride on the cog wheel Jungfrau Region Railway with superb views of the legendary north face of the Eiger, the Monch and Jungfrau Mountains. We pause at Kleine Scheidegg before continuing by train to the alpine village of Grindelwald with time for sightseeing
- A visit to Brienz and Interlaken. Today we take you into superb Lakeland scenery as we travel along the shores of Lake Brienz. In the afternoon we visit Interlaken, situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz and at the foot of the famous peaks – the Eiger, Monch and the Jungfrau
- A visit to pretty Lucerne with its wonderful lakeside setting
Optional Excursion:
- A wonderful ride on the famous Swiss Glacier Express. We drive to Chur to join the train for the journey to Andermatt. Riding the ‘slowest express train in the world’ we climb through unforgettable scenery. Price: £140 per person. In order to guarantee your place on the train the trip must be purchased at the time of booking. The train journey may be carried out in reverse – ie from Chur to Andermatt.
Day 7 – bid a fond farewell and commence our journey home. We make our way to our overnight stopover in France / Germany where accommodation has been reserved on a bed and Continental breakfast basis
Day 8 – depart after breakfast and travel to the French port for the ferry crossing to the UK
