Day 5 – continue to the Torremolinos area where we have accommodation reserved for the next 4 nights

Day 6 – today we visit Granada with an included guided tour of the vast Alhambra Palace which dominates the skyline with the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background.  Dating back to the 11th century it is one of Andalucia’s ‘must see’ palaces.  Connected to the Alhambra is the 14th century Generalife – former summer residence of the Sultans.  A highlight is the magnificent gardens with wonderful views over the city

Day 7 – day at leisure in Torremolinos.

Day 8 – today we visit exquisite Seville.  The city is renowned for flamenco and tapas.  Highlights include the awe inspiring cathedral, the charming Jewish quarter with its winding streets and the imposing Alcazar Royal Palace and gardens which date from the 12th century.  A guided city tour is included but admissions etc are extra.

Day 9 – head north stopping for a few hours in Valdepenas – known for its long tradition of wine making.  Continue to the Madrid area where we stay for the next 3 nights.

Day 10 – guided city tour of Madrid with its wealth of cultural attractions.  Don’t miss the Plaza Mayor, old Madrid lined with beautiful muralled buildings, the huge Palacio Real, (Royal Palace), the tree lined Paseo del Prado – the main avenue of the city and enjoy a stroll around the magnificent Retiro Park.
