Haddon Hall has welcomed visitors for hundreds of years and its beauty and atmosphere never fail to enchant. It has been described as one of the best 1,000 country houses. The house and gardens have played host to no less than 3 versions of Jane Eyre. Screen credits also include Pride and Prejudice: ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ and ‘The Princess Bride’. At Christmas time it glows with traditional decoration and lighting. There are open fires and music. The courtyard pavilion offers plenty of choice for lunch with hot rolls, filling soups, mince pies and hot beverages. We also make a short stop in Bakewell on the return journey home in the afternoon.
