We start with a local departure for our journey south. Accommodation has been reserved for 2 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at the Devon Bay Hotel. This is situated on the main sea front in the heart of town. Step outside and you are on the promenade with its shops, cafes etc. Carry along the Esplanade and you will find a coastal walkway. All rooms have private facilities and features include a restaurant and bar. There is occasional evening entertainment.

- Bideford and Clovelly. A visit to the ancient port of Bideford and then on to the delightful private village of Clovelly with its single cobbled street tumbling down to the sea, (entrance extra)
