Holiday Highlights

After a relaxing day at sea, including a scenic sailing past the fascinating basalt columns of Fingal's Cave, Black Watch will journey to the remote Orkney Islands and your first port of call Kirkwall. The town is surrounded by rugged countryside and home to a range of wildlife. On tours (optional extra), you can discover the 5,000-year-old Neolithic village of Skara Brae, as well as the ancient stone circles of Stenness and Brodgar.

Continuing on, you'll reach Tobermory. This picturesque town is best known for its brightly coloured houses that line the waterfront, though the Mull Museum and Tobermory Distillery are well worth a visit too. Alternatively, venture further afield for the chance to admire beautiful scenery on the picturesque Isle of Mull. After your time ashore, Black Watch will take you on a scenic journey through the Sound of Mull, past the historic 13th century Duart Castle.

Finally, a call into Greenock, 'gateway to the lochs', presents the opportunity to discover two of the Highland's most desired spots - Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This stunning landscape encompasses majestic mountain scenery, dense woodlands and the largest stretch of freshwater in Britain.

Proximity of Destinations
In all ports of call, the ship will dock as closely as possible to the destination. This means we will either be in walking distance or a short bus ride from the local centre. A shuttle bus may sometimes be provided by Fred.Olsen or the local port authority (a nominal fee usually applies). It is sometimes the case that the port is further away. Where this arises, it may be necessary to book a tour to visit the main destination. Please ask Fred.Olsen staff for details.

Fred. Olsen reserve the right to refuse boarding at the port on day of departure if, in their opinion (through observation), you or any of your party's impaired mobility prevents you from safely negotiating a stepped gangway or moving around the vessel in a safe & secure manner at all times.

If anybody in the party is unsure if they meet this minimum mobility requirement, DO NOT PROCEED WITH THIS BOOKING AT THIS TIME.
