We will stay at the delightful resort of Torbole. This features a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants and you can catch one of the many boats which ply up and down the lake from here. We will stay at the 4* Club Hotel la Vela. This is situated a stone’s throw away from the centre of town. The lake, bars and shops are within easy walking distance. Hotel features include a bar and restaurant. There is an outdoor pool.
Day 1
Departures from selected regional pick up points and travel by coach to the channel port from where we take the short sea crossing to the Continent. After clearing Customs formalities we continue our journey to our overnight hotel in France / Germany.
Day 2
After an early breakfast we continue to make our way to the Lake Garda area and Torbole arriving at our hotel during the evening. Here Accommodation has been reserved for 5 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis
Day 3 – today we have included a Lake Garda circular tour taking in the shoreline of lemon groves and the capital of Lake Garda – Garda. At the southern end the shoreline narrows giving a fjord-like quality to the scenery. The trip includes trip to Malcesine. As well we have included a boat trip on the lake
Day 4 – today we have a wonderful included excursion to Venice. Enjoy the famous sights including the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark’s Square and the Doges Palace. Take a walk over the Rialto Bridge – an ideal spot to watch the activities of the boats on the Grand Canal below. Please note: Any admission charges/taxes etc. payable for entering Venice are not included. These are payable, on arrival, in cash.
Day 5 – today we take you to Verona – one of Italy’s most beautiful and historic cities. Don’t miss the impressive square – Piazza Bra – with its ornate fountains and delightful pavement cafes dominated by the Magnificent Roman Arena – the third largest in the world. Continue through to Piazza Erbe – the old Roman Forum where nowadays you will find a large open-air market selling an assortment of local produce. As well browse around the various selection of shops in Via Mazzini or even visit the famous balcony featured in Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’
Day 6 – day at leisure.
Day 7 – after breakfast it is time to bid a fond farewell. We make our way to our hotel in France / Germany where our final overnight stopover has been included on a bed and Continental breakfast basis
Day 8 – continue our journey home arriving back later on.
