Here are some of the highlights:
- Fish market – on Pier Road there will be a range of demonstrations by local fishermen, fishmongers and chefs
- Seafood kitchen – be inspired in the Seafood Kitchen Theatre by top local and celebrity chefs who will be cooking up some live action seafood treats
- Parkol Shipyard tours. Go behind the scenes at one of the UK’s most successful boat builders
- Festival market and music – free live music including toe tapping sea shanties and soulful sailor’s ballads
- Trawlers and coble boats
We start with a local departure and make our way north to historic York. There will be time to shop and explore before we head for our hotel. Accommodation has been arranged for 2 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at the Grand Hotel. This is located in the town centre overlooking the harbour and South Bay.
On day 2 we take you to Whitby for you to enjoy the ‘Fish and Ships’ Festival. We return back at around 18.00 hours to our hotel.
On day 3 we spend some time in Scarborough before commencing our journey home arriving back later on.
