Price Includes:

  • Return coach travel and Channel crossing by ferry or Eurotunnel
  • 2 nights bed and continental breakfast accommodation en route - one outward - one return.
  • 7 nights accommodation with breakfast and 5 evening meals. At the Hotel President ½ bottle mineral water and ¼ bottle house wine included per person with dinner.
  • Excursions as detailed in the itinerary
  • Porterage - at hotel in Italy

Your Holiday Hotel:

In Viareggio you will stay for 5 nights at the 4* Hotel President.  This is set just in front of the sandy beach and promenade of this well known resort on the Tuscan coast.  All rooms are well appointed with private facilities.  Features include a lounge bar, restuarant and lift to all floors.

Overnight hotels are city style.  Please Note: Porterage is not available in 'overnight' hotels.

 

Your Itinerary:

Day 1 - Departure from your chosen pick up point and travel to the channel port from where we take the short sea crossing to the Continent. We continue to France for our overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2 - Continue our journey sout arriving in Viareggio on the Tuscan coast - for a 5 night dinner, bed and breakfast stay at the 4* President Hotel

Days 3 - 6 – we have included these great excursions:

  • Siena – one of the most perfectly preserved Mediaeval towns in Europe. Its narrow streets are lined with palaces and mansions leading to the famous Piazza del Campo.  Don’t miss the famous cathedral, the Sala del Pellegrinaio and admire the view from the Facciatone or ‘big façade’
  • Lucca and Pisa. Lucca is one of Italy’s finest mediaeval towns.  Don’t miss the cathedral of San Martino and the Piazza Napoleone.  Afterwards we visit Pisa where you can view the famous leaning tower
  • San Gimignano. This enchanting hilltop town is known as the ‘town of the beautiful towers’ – a striking feature of the Tuscan landscape.  Enjoy the piazzas and great shopping try the Via San Giovanni.  During the day you can taste the local wine specialities at a special wine tasting, (admission extra)
  • One day will be at leisure to enjoy the resort.

Day 7 - Depart for France for our overnight stopover

Day 8 - Continue home, arriving back later on
