We start with a local departure for our journey north. Accommodation has been reserved for 4 nights on a half board basis at one of Scarborough’s landmarks - the Grand Hotel which is located in the town centre, overlooking the harbour and South Bay. All rooms have private facilities and TV. Features include a restaurant, bar and cabaret ballroom with entertainment on all nights.

- We start with a nostalgic journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, travelling through peaceful countryside from Pickering to Whitby - dominated by the remains of the old abbey.
- A visit to Bridlington – a lively seaside resort and fishing port. We continue to Beverley – a delightful town with many Georgian buildings
- A visit to York – one of the world’s great tourism cities with its famous walls, the Minster and the National Railway Museum, (admission charges not included).
